"I am originally from De Soto, Kansas and am majoring in biomedical engineering on a pre-medicine tract. Some of my other hobbies include traveling, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, and scuba diving. My favorite part of the team is the great atmosphere and the ability to meet so many people. My favorite memory has been competing at nationals the last two years, surrounded by awesome teammates."

"I'm from Middleton, Wisconsin studying marketing. Other hobbies of mine in addition to triathlon include hiking, cooking, fishing, and hanging out with my family, friends, and dog! My favorite part of being on the team is seeing new members get introduced to triathlon because of the resources we offer making it easy to get started. My favorite memory since being on the team was the beverage mile on Halloween which proved to be a test of speed, endurance, and stomach power!"

"I am this year’s Fundraising Coordinator. I am from Maple Grove, Minnesota, and I am majoring in Chemical Engineering. My hobbies include playing clarinet, being outdoors in nature, weight lifting, eating M&Ms and of course swimming, biking, and running. My favorite part of the team is the friendships that are formed. Many of my best friends were met on the team. My favorite memory of the team is when we went tubing after Pleasant Prairie Tri."

"I grew up between the Twin Cities and Serbia, and I’m double majoring in economics and math. In my spare time I love playing soccer, reading, and learning to cook new things. My favorite part of the triathlon team is how well everyone gets along and how supportive everyone is regardless of how “good” you are. My favorite memory from the team is my teammates helping me walk up a hill after Maple Grove tri when I could barely use my legs anymore."

Volunteering & Events Coordinator - Piper Eriksson
"I am the Volunteer Coordinator for the team this year. I am from Madison, Wisconsin and am majoring in Physics. Some of my hobbies outside of triathlon include nordic skiing, reading, and hiking. My favorite part of the team is getting to know all of the wonderful people on it, and my favorite memory is driving back from our training trip in Georgia full of waffles from Waffle House, dodging tolls in Illinois, and listening to new music." |
Coach - Lou Hughes
Louis has been coaching the Minnesota Triathlon Team for 6 years and was a graduate of the University of Minnesota - Duluth campus. Under Louis' coaching, the Men's Minnesota Triathlon Team has been MWCTC Champions three times. Additionally, the Women's Minnesota Triathlon Team has been MWCTC Champions 4 times during his 5 year career. He has been competing in triathlons since he was 15 years old, and there is nothing he enjoys more. Louis is a USAT Certified Level I Triathlon Coach, a two-time USAT All-American, and an ITU World Championship Qualifier.
